Tiki statues represent Polynesian gods in human form carrying a specific power (mana). These works of art and spiritual symbols possess attributes that offer protection, fertility, abundance, strength, power, love, and other strong family (ohana) values Charlie Knight began carving tiki statues in the late 1970's and has been a full time tiki artist since 1982. He carves tikis primarily with sable palm, working intuitively with the shape of the wood to create the tiki form that already exists within.
